Rooted in Friendship. Fueled by Passion. Tailored for You
Trilogy Events is a women-owned, boutique event planning company founded by lifelong friends Haylie Rashidi and Monica Overton—two seasoned hospitality professionals who transformed a shared vision into a beautifully realized dream. What began as a late-night conversation blossomed into a thriving partnership built on trust, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to crafting unforgettable experiences.
With over three decades of combined expertise in event planning and hospitality, Haylie and Monica created Trilogy Events with one guiding principle: to always put people first. Whether you’re planning an intimate wedding, launching a brand new product, or celebrating a milestone, your vision is our priority. Our role is to bring it to life with intention, elegance, and a meticulous eye for detail.
When you partner with us, you’re not just hiring planners—you’re welcoming a team who is wholeheartedly invested in your journey from beginning to end. We are your trusted guides, creative collaborators, and most enthusiastic supporters. Our clients become part of the Trilogy family, and we are honored to share in the joy of life’s most cherished moments.
We’re truly grateful you’re considering us for your upcoming celebration, and we can’t wait to help you bring it to life in a way that’s as unforgettable as the occasion itself.

Meet the Trilogy Events Team
Haylie Rashidi
Owner
Haylie’s passion for event planning was sparked during her senior year of high school when she had the opportunity to organize her first Hello Dance. From selecting themes and color palettes to curating the perfect attendee experience, every detail thrilled her. She recalls it as her “talk to me, Harry Winston, tell me all about it” moment—a sign that this was more than just a passing interest. After earning her degree in Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation Management, Haylie moved to Miami, Florida, where she honed her skills coordinating events for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants.
Her journey then led her back to California, where she continued to cultivate her love for event design at a prestigious Golf and Country Club. It was there that she met Monica, and as Haylie puts it, “A chemistry like ours happens once in a lifetime, and we could not waste the opportunity we were given. I never believed in twin telepathy until I met her.”
When she’s not immersed in creating unforgettable experiences, Haylie enjoys soaking up the California sun through hiking, surfing, and running—lucky for her, the sun shines nearly 360 days a year. Weekends find her either unwinding with a gym session or exploring a new local coffee house to fuel her love for caffeine. In the evenings, you’ll find her as a self-proclaimed Night Owl, with few reasons to call it a day before midnight. Her commitment to self-care isn’t just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle—and if you let her, she’ll gladly share all her secrets, including her obsession with the latest Skyn Iceland eye patches.
Monica Overton
Owner
Monica’s passion for events began as a child. Some of her fondest memories are of her setting the table with her grandmother, planning menus and decorating for all of her family events. This passion drove her to pursue a Hospitality, Recreation, and Tourism Management degree. While completing her degree, Monica began her career as an intern at the Silicon Valley Capital Club. Upon graduation, Monica moved to Southern California for a couple of years, where she assisted in the execution of countless weddings, auctions, and special events before moving back to the Bay Area for family. She was given the opportunity to continue her career at the Los Altos Golf and Country Club, where she planned and executed hundreds of events for the membership. With over a decade in the industry, Monica has worked with clients of all ranges, planning any and all special events, including weddings, auctions, bar and bat mitzvahs, golf tournaments, baby and bridal showers, celebrations of life, corporate meetings, and so much more.
In her spare time, Monica enjoys spending time with husband and daughter. As a family they enjoy traveling all over the world and can’t wait to see where their next adventure will take them. On a relaxing day, you can find her with a glass of her favorite wine, watching a very predictable, but always happy, Hallmark Movie.
Emily Vasil
Event Planner
Emily’s passion for events first sparked during her sophomore year of high school when she stepped into a leadership role and began planning countless fundraisers for her class. That experience led to one of her proudest high school achievements, planning her senior prom. After earning her degree in Business Management from San Diego State University, Emily dove headfirst into the events world. Her career has spanned both local and international projects, from intimate dinner parties to large-scale productions with headline entertainers. She describes her favorite part of the job as “taking a vision and bringing it to life,” and her calm, organized approach ensures no detail is left unchecked.
Outside of work, Emily can be found on the golf course, a sport she’s played since the age of four and one that earned her the title of team captain. Her love for travel has taken her around the globe, with Lake Como holding a special place in her heart after a month abroad working weddings. On weekends, you might catch her sipping an espresso martini on a rooftop or training for her next athletic goal: a half-marathon. A former sprinter with a passion for weightlifting, Emily brings the same discipline and dedication to her personal life that she does to every event she plans.
